Sturgis brown high school teacher darla dekraai has been named recipient of the outstanding teacher in community service award of the south dakota association for career and technical education.Dekraai was honored during the association's state conference last week in pierre because of her significant contributions toward training, motivating and inspiring her students to become involved in programs and projects that benefit the community.

"Mrs.Dekraai has created leadership projects for students to learn and grow as young adults and to make a positive different in the world,"Said a christian louboutin shoe outlet nominator. "People of all ages have benefited from her constant involvement through community service projects. "

Dekraai, who has been a teacher for 27 years, the last 13 for meade school district as the family and consumer science teacher, said she is honored to receive the award.
